Mission

The mission of the Oregon State University CPORT is to work with the nation's ports and federal agencies to identify and mitigate the most pressing needs regarding risk reduction, port infrastructure management, efficiency and economic competitiveness of U.S. ports and sustainable development to meet the demands for increased global trade. The multi-disciplinary CPORT research teams made up of university specialists, port industry representatives, and experts from private industry are committed to the development and implementation of a research agenda that serves the nation's economic and security needs. Public education, professional outreach and service to stakeholders are key elements of the center's mission.
