Kiewit Research Initiatives

 

The Kiewit Center is very pleased to announce several new funded research initiatives:

1.

Health Monitoring and Advanced Technologies Backbone for Bridge Evaluation and Maintenance Applications
Amount $6,000 to purchase server, software, and storage hardware.

PI: Michael Scott

2.

Wave and Storm Surge Forces on Bridges
Amount $25,000 to support physical tests of bridge superstructure geometries at Hinsdale WRL.

PI: Dan Cox

3.

Roof Collapse Under Ponding Conditions
Amount $20,000 to support physical tests of roof systems.

PI: Christopher Higgins

4.

Study for Infrastructure Laboratory Expansion
Amount $15,000 to support planning, engineering, and architectural services for design of laboratory expansion.

PI: Christopher Higgins

   

Kiewit funds will be used to support the proposed research efforts at the discretion of the individual PIs. It is intended that the Kiewit funds be used principally for supplies and equipment that support the proposed research objectives.
